Compassion Is the True High Fashion ✨🌱 By Natalia Magdalena Botvinjevs “I desire mercy, not sacrifice.” – Jesus (Matthew 9:13) For many years, I didn’t count eating meat as a sacrifice. I wasn’t the one holding the knife. I didn’t kill the animals with my own hands. I simply bought their body parts, like my fallen fathers had taught me. That way of living hardened my heart. I forgot that for the animal, it meant their life — given up not for survival, but for human lust and tradition. I consumed flesh and blood, milk meant for baby calves, and eggs meant to bring new life. I never questioned it. But God did not create mothers to nurse anyone’s children but their own — and only for a time. We have forgotten the sacredness of life and the intent of creation. Once, I lived like a vampire — thinking I could survive without God, yet believing I could not live without animal protein. 🩸🫣 But the Lord, in His mercy, removed the blinders from my eyes.
