"The Wolves Are Not the Threat" By Natalia Magdalena Botvinjevs 🇩🇰🇷🇺🇵🇱👇 People are afraid of the wolves returning to Denmark. Some want them killed. They call them dangerous, wild, something to fear. But as someone who has been homeless—who has walked alone under the open sky, without a roof or protection—I know this: the real danger has never come from the wild. It came from people. No wolf ever hurt me. But humans did. Again and again. Animals live by instinct. They don’t lie, betray, or exploit for fun. They survive. They protect their own. In that way, I feel closer to wolves than I do to most of the people who walked past me when I was starving, ignored, or broken. To me, the return of the wolves is not a threat. It’s a promise. A holy one. A sign that something ancient and pure is making its way back into this lost world. That not everything has bowed to greed or fear.
