I believe that when the Bible speaks of purity and cleanness, it is pointing us back to God’s original intention: a diet of plants, free from death. For me, clean eating is vegan eating — a way of honoring God’s design for creation and respecting the life of every creature.

The Essene Gospel of Peace also echoes this truth. In Book One, Jesus is portrayed as saying:

“Kill not, neither eat the flesh of your innocent prey, lest you become the slaves of Satan.”

This harmonizes beautifully with both Enoch and the Bible’s call to compassion.
